Wage Investor October 2021 Investment Portfolio Tracker

October 2021 bounced back from the drop experienced during September 2021. With the rising prices, I just maintained the minimum investment amount for the month. Cryptocurrency performing very strong with some exchanges now choosing reward games such as the Coinstash Wheel to entice new users. I earned more crypto through the game that ended this month. However, there are many promotions that are on offer through the cryptocurrency exchanges that increase your return on investment.

I was paid a distribution from the VGS ETF. The Account slightly increased thanks to my continued investment in NDQ. This month I learnt some hard lessons with managing a website, connection errors and security firewall prevent access for a short period. However, through Bluehost support, I was able to get the website back running and will continue to post articles in the month of November.

Goals October 2021

Thanks to the strong performance of the share market this month I reached my Superhero short term target of $18,000. The Pearler balance also almost was achieved falling just shy of $4,000. This was due to the dollar-cost averaging approach to investing in VAS shares.

Super Hero October 2021 Portfolio

Superhero Account

The Super Hero portfolio jumped this month with the strong performance of the US shares and the continued run of the CXO share price. I acquired some Facebook shares and increased my emergency fund buffer. I would like to invest in some more mining shares given the drop they have recently experienced and I like to hold them long term. However, given the strong weighting towards the Australian market, I may first need to increase the investment in global shares and ETFs as a priority.

Pearler ETFs

I continued to invest in VAS as they have dropped recently as saw it as a good opportunity to continue averaging into the investment. I would like to invest some more into ETF’s in the month of November if cash flow allows. Given the shortage of disposable income, I may choose to allocate the ETF investment towards global exposure to increase my US holdings and diversify my risk.

Pearler October 2021 Portfolio Balance

Cryptocurrency – Coinbase

The cryptocurrencies within my Coinbase portfolio performed strongly this month with Bitcoin and Ethereum rising. I chose not to invest more given the priority to other investments. As I consider crypto to be a more volatile asset class I prefer to wait until it has experienced a downturn before investing a small additional amount. I will look to invest more as I get surplus funds.

Coinbase October 2021

Looking Ahead

Next month, I will aim to invest some more into cryptocurrency. For ETFs, I would like to reach 5% of my goal by the end of the year. Super Hero I’m aiming to reach $19,000 by the end of November. To achieve these goals will need to continue to make small investments into the different portfolios. However, I would like to continue to build the investment portfolios and reach the monthly goals.
